Being a part of such a wonderful community is truly key within their concept. So their tradition of "Soup Sundays" can continue and be enjoyed by everyone.

The couple’s combined 34 years in restaurant service and ownership fed their desire to create a new and excitingly different dining experience in Reno.

They set their focus on healthy homemade recipes made from scratch daily. Then added the freshest ingredients and great customer service.

HOW IT ALL STARTED
Christian and Kasey Christensen’s tradition of "Soup Sunday" began as a weekly get-together for friends and family at their home.
ONE THING LEADS TO ANOTHER
Süp Restaurant opened its doors August 20th, 2007, and has had a line down the street during lunchtime ever since.

We believe creativity develops new and exciting dining options for any recipe. We combine those ideas with the freshest vegetables, meats and seafood prepared with our customers in mind. Consistency and courtesy are always our goal. We have a great staff that are here to take care of you.
Then, we open our door and invite everyone to share!

These are a few examples of what makes us unique
and quite proud of what we create and serve
  • Our soup stocks are made in-house from fresh ingredients, not reconstituted from thick bases bought from suppliers.
  • We roast turkeys daily for our soups and sandwiches.
  • We proudly serve Mary's Free Range Chicken.
  • Our breads are the only pre-made products purchased, delivered and made fresh daily, from House of Bread and 5th St Bakehouse.
  • Every salad dressing is homemade and can be purchased to take home.
  • Our cookies are baked fresh daily and can be additionally purchased at our Sister restaurant Crème Cafe.
  • Our meats are brought to us from Ponderosa, right down the street.
  • Many of our herbs and produce are grown locally.

EARTH ALCHEMY FARM

Earth Alchemy Farm is dedicated to providing fresh, nutritious produce to our local community while also educating about the importance of sustainable living.

RIVER SCHOOL FARM

The River School Farm is dedicated to revitalizing the human spirit and regenerating the Earth.

Süp offers a much-needed service of high quality, fast service dining. Our concept of gourmet healthy soups, sandwiches and salads is unique within the area, and allows us to be set apart from typical dining options. Patrons may dine-in or take-out their meals. Our MidTown location also lends to the hip yet sophisticated feel of our restaurant, combined with our delicious menu served until 9 pm Monday through Saturday, making Süp a part of the "MidTown scene.”

We plan to continue to work with other local businesses and the City of Reno to improve the MidTown District and build an even stronger community that we can all be proud of!
